Perpetual Guardian Sculpture on the Gulf celebrates its 20th year anniversary from 24 February to 24 March 2024 on Waiheke Island. This world-renowned outdoor sculpture exhibition has been a unique contribution to the cultural life of Aotearoa since 2003 and will continue the conversation between sculpture and site through multiple works. Explore a 2-kilometre exhibition on the Matiatia Coastal Walkway encountering ambitious sculptures against a backdrop of expansive vistas of the Hauraki Gulf.
Waiheke is a 40-minute ferry trip from Auckland. It has vineyards, world-class hospitality, pristine beaches, and scenery that feeds the soul. Book ahead to eat, play and stay on this island paradise over a few days.
Our information tent is just along from the Matiatia wharf. Here you can buy entry and shuttle bus tickets. The bus loops around from Matiatia to the start of the walk and stops at the Waiheke Community Art Gallery, where there is an exhibition of related smaller artworks.
Walk, connect, and reflect. Create new memories and embrace the experience. Anything Could Happen.
