From cognitive neuroscience to positive psychology, you’ll uncover the best tools, techniques, and insights to revolutionise your understanding of human behaviour and potential. Where possible participants will "learn through doing".  


Prepare to be captivated as we unravel the mysteries of cognitive biases, emotional intelligence, and social influence in today's digital age. Through interactive discussions, engaging activities and real-world case studies, you'll acquire practical strategies for enhancing your well-being, relationships and personal effectiveness in our rapidly evolving world.


But the adventure doesn't end there! You’ll learn to be the author of your own story as you embark on your own “hero’s quest”.


Whether you're seeking personal growth, professional development, or a deeper understanding of yourself and others, this workshop offers an opportunity to indulge your curiosity and expand your horizons in a safe and fun environment.


 


By the end of this one-day workshop you’ll be able to:


1.      Explain what emotions are from an evolutionary perspective and why they are fundamental to understanding modern human behaviour.


2.      Gain a basic understanding of key concepts in general psychology, positive psychology, and social psychology.


3.      Acquire practical skills and an understanding of some tools for personal growth and enhanced effectiveness.


4.      Develop self-awareness (including being able to discuss common cognitive biases) and agency in crafting one's life narrative.


5.      Engage in interactive learning activities to foster collaboration, meaningful connections, and communication skills.


Bring pen and paper.  Tea and coffee provided, please bring your lunch/snacks.


[Note: You must be a NZ citizen or resident to qualify for the free course fee option.  A condition of enrolment is that you must provide photo ID when you attend).
