As part of the Swingin’ with Shehan Mini-fest, Rhythm Club brings you a night of social dancing, with a free, all-in beginner Lindy Hop class at the top of the night especially for those who want to have a go, then put your new skills into action straight away!
From 7:30pm, come and learn what Lindy Hop is all about with Shehan! This beginner level class will get you up and social dancing in no time, ready to enjoy the rest of the evening.
While Lindy hop is a partnered dance originating in the streets and ballrooms of Harlem in the 1920s and ‘30s, you won’t need to bring a partner or have any prior dance experience to join in and discover the joy of dancing to swing jazz music, and get a taste of why this dance is still alive everywhere in the world today!
From 8:30pm we’ll have a lineup of Auckland’s best swing dance DJS to play all the best tunes to keep you on the dance floor for the rest of the night!
Doors open 7:15pm, Auckland Guide Hall, 132 Grange Rd Mt Eden.

You can experience this whether he is on the dance floor, leading you through a class or simply having a chat with him.
