Following the release of their chart-topping self-titled debut album, Sol3 Mio are delighted to announce their first extensive national tour for March 2014.
A sold-out show at the Auckland Town Hall in October 2012 was an early indication of the talent and popularity of the Samoan trio from Auckland, made up of tenor brothers Pene and Amitai Pati and their baritone cousin Moses Mackay.
Signed to Universal Music, Sol3 Mio recorded their debut album earlier this year in London with renowned producer Nick Patrick (Hayley Westenra, Russell Watson). Since its release on 15 November, it has stormed the charts, holding down the #1 position throughout and selling an incredible 3 x platinum.
Their voices are phenomenal and multi-award winning – including 2 x Lexus Song Quest awards. It’s those remarkable voices, as well as the trio’s perfect comedy timing (developed at their weekly childhood performances around South Auckland rest homes), that makes Sol3 Mio’s live performances something truly special and unique.
Expect powerful and moving operatic voices alongside irrepressible Samoan humour. This will be the concert event of 2014.
