Passenger New Zealand Tour

British folk musician Passenger will be returning to New Zealand in 2015, playing shows in Auckland and Wellington.

Best known for his song 'Let Her Go', which was the sixth-highest selling single in New Zealand for 2013, Mike Rosenberg has released four albums under the Passenger moniker. His fifth album Whispers is due for release on the 9th of June, which features the single Heart's on Fire with Ed Sheeran, who Passenger opened for at his 2013 concerts in Auckland and Wellington.

New Album ‘Whispers’ Released Worldwide June 6th 2014

Mike Rosenberg, aka Passenger, announced he will be bringing his Whispers Tour to New Zealand for 2 shows in January 2015:Auckland - Friday January 30th 2015 – The Civic, Wellington - Saturday January 31st 2015, Michael Fowler Centre

2012 and 2013 were watermark years for the acoustic folk troubadour and included sold out tours here in New Zealand as well as the UK, Europe, Australia and the US, over 6.5 million single sales, No. 1 singles in 21 countries (including here), numerous Top 10 album chart positions, 1.2 million album sales and, of course, a whole lot of busking.

Whispers is Passenger’s sixth studio album and its oldest songs date back to before the mayhem began. The album’s grandest love song and first single is Heart’s On Fire, which starts out sparse on finger picked guitar and builds into a dramatic, passionate, strings-soaked plea to the person you can’t get out of your head.

There are many more stories to come from the album, stories Passenger will share with NZ audiences live when he returns for his largest shows yet in January 2015.
