Broods have announced a new Under 18 matinee show in Christchurch after all of their 'Evergreen' tour dates sold out.

Organised by the Christchurch Earthquake Recovery Authority, Starlight Entertainment Group, Christchurch Youth Council and Wai Youth, the gig will take place at the Bedford at CPSA. In September, Broods will kick off a tour as support across Sam Smith’s US tour.

It has been developed in response to findings from the 2013 Youth Wellbeing Survey which highlighted the need for safe and enjoyable places to go and things to do.

Until now, kiwi fans have only had the pleasure of seeing Broods perform a handful of times. After multiple overseas appearances, the band will take their thrilling live show to the eager masses and play headline shows to Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch audiences for the very first time.

Georgia and Caleb Nott’s musical project Broods emerged in 2013 with the release of the hit single 'Bridges' (Dryden Street through Universal). Broods released their self-titled debut EP in January this year to international acclaim, and have toured across Australia, the US and UK. They’ve shared stages with the likes of Ellie Goulding, Haim and CHVRCHES, and recently appeared on Late Night With Seth Myers in the US. In September, Broods will kick of the tour as support across Sam Smith’s US tour.

Broods will release their debut full-length album 'Evergreen' featuring their new single 'Mother & Father' on August 22nd. Proudly brought to you by CERA, Starlight Entertainment Group, Christchurch Youth Council and Wai Youth this “Not For Profit” event is an exclusive, one off under 18 concert.

The organisers would like to assure all parents that this concert will be secure, safe and alcohol free. So everybody can come out and have a great time!
