Hello Sailor are set to embark on a North Island tour to mark their 40th anniversary.
The band will perform in Tauranga, Napier, Palmerston North, Wellington, New Plymouth, Auckland and Hamilton throughout September, playing all of their best-loved hits. The tour announcement comes after the 40th anniversary show at the Powerstation sold out.
Joining Sailor on tour will be supergroup Band of Brothers, which features Jordan Luck (The Exponents), Peter Urlich (Th' Dudes), Eddie Rayner (Spilt Enz), Brett Adams (The Mockers), Peter Warren (DD Smash), Bryan Bell (Dead Flowers) and Dave Gent (The Exponents).
Hello Sailor guitarist Harry Lyon is excited to get together with some of his oldest friends: "These guys have been around since we were all in flares. Having them as part of our 40th anniversary tour is such an honour and I couldn't think of a more talented group of friends to enjoy it with."
Each band will play its own set before the two combine at the end of the night for the ultimate 40th anniversary finale.
