Greg Johnson Announces An ExtraShow In Auckland

Greg Johnson first Auckland show sold out in record time, so Plus1 is pleased to announce a second (and final) Auckland show, at The Tuning Fork on Sunday 6 November.

Greg Johnson and band will perform his career-defining album Here Comes The Caviar in its entirety, including gems like Save Yourself, It’s Been So Long, Kiss Me, and Don’t Be The One. Plus a set of hits and favourites.

‘Caviar’ cracked the NZ Top 20 in April 2004 and spawned a succession of radio hits with Save Yourself, It’s Been So Long, Kiss Me, and Don’t Be The One.

Says Greg from his home in Los Angeles:

“I wanted to be the first Kiwi singer-songwriter to do the classic album live idea with a band. Here Comes The Caviar is an album with many of my best known radio songs that also translate really well live, plus it went Gold in NZ so it’s a good place to start with that idea.

“We’ll play it in order from start to end, only stopping for a slug of vino and perhaps a touch of reminiscing with Ted.

“The album was recorded 2004 in California at a big old classic studio in Silverlake, with producer Clark Stiles and various musicians guesting including Rami Jaffee (Wallflowers, Foo-Fighters) and Jeff Young (Sting, Jackson Browne, Steely Dan).”

Meanwhile, ticket demand means the Dunedin concert will now be held at the recently refurbished Captain Cook. All tickets remain valid for the new location.
