Sydneysider electronic hip-hop duo Hermitude are no strangers to New Zealand crowds, most recently on these shores to deliver an epic set at Laneway Festival in February. Live Nation is excited to announce that Hermitude are crossing the Tasman for a headline show at Auckland’s Studio on February 24.
Hermitude are Elgusto and Luke Dubs, an award-winning duo based in Sydney, Australia. They are an evolving success story, from humble beginnings born in music and friendship, to creative and commercial peaks that grow with each release. Forming in the early 2000s, Hermitude had built a unique chemistry after playing live together in various bands from an early age. With five albums under their belt, the duos momentum has grown with each release.
2015 began with the signing of a worldwide deal with Nettwerk Records, as well as their first headline tour of the US, taking in SXSW and going on to festivals such as Governor’s Ball and Lollapollooza. Dark Night Sweet Light was released on May 15 and debuted at #1 in the country – their first top ten album and a landmark moment for Elgusto and Luke Dubs. It stayed in the Top 10 for weeks following and was nominated for seven ARIA Awards. With the album now released worldwide and with shows selling out everywhere, 2016 has been another busy year on the international touring circuit, proving that Hermitude are just getting better and better.
Don’t miss Hermitude’s only Auckland show this summer.
