American comedian and actor Joel McHale brings his comical acts in Auckland this September.
Born in Rome and raised in Seattle, Joel was a history major at the University of Washington and received his Master's of Fine Arts from UW's Actor's Training Program.
Joel recently finished his 12th and final season of 'E!'s The Soup' in which he satirised pop culture and current events. In his most recent appearance, he played a conservative news anchor in the revival of 'The X-Files' and continues to perform his stand-up around the US to sold out audiences. Hit comedy series 'Community' wrapped its sixth season on Yahoo where Joel is also known for his starring role.
Joel's additional film credits include Seth MacFarlane's comedy smash 'TED', 'The Spy Kids: All The Time In The World' and 'The Informant'. Other credits include 'A Merry Friggin' Christmas' starring as Robin William's son, the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced supernatural thriller 'Deliver Us From Evil' and romantic comedy 'Blended' where he worked alongside Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. In 2014 McHale hosted the annual White House Correspondents' Association Dinner in Washington.
