After a stand-out slot at this year’s Bay Dreams Festival, American hip-hop wordsmith Machine Gun Kelly will be hitting NZ shores once again, bringing his '27' tour to Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin this April.
MGK will then be heading to Australia in May, marking his first visit since 2013. He'll be firing off hits from his latest album ‘Bloom’ in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.
Born Colson Baker, the 27-year old rapper and actor broke into the music scene in 2010 with his mixtape 'Lace Up' which led to a record deal with the famed Bad Boy Records and his debut LP of the same name. Years after, MGK has then released two other chart-topping albums 'General Admission' and 'Bloom'. His 2016 smash hit with Camila Cabello 'Bad Things', which peaked at the 4th spot of Billboard Hot 100 chart, laid the foundations for the release of his third album 'Bloom' featuring James Arthur, Quavo, Hailee Steinfeld and Ty Dolla $ign.
"Undoubtedly one of the biggest draw cards of the night had to be MGK; fans chanting his name long before he arrived on stage… Arriving on stage in a red jacket and silver pants the hoards pressed against the barrier lost their collective minds as both MGK and his band of supremely talented musicians hit them with tracks such as 'Golden God', 'At My Best' and 'Kiss The Sky'." - Ambient Light
MGK—who's been creating a buzz about playing Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee in Netflix's adaptation of the band’s bio 'The Dirt'—proved to be one of the most remarkable performances at 2018's Bay Dreams Festival.
Grab your tickets and have your bullet proof vests ready 'cause Machine Gun Kelly will make bullets rain this April!
