Tame Impala's 'The Slow Rush Tour' invades New Zealand this April

Legendary psych-rock gurus Tame Impala are set to play their one-off concert at Auckland's Spark Arena, as part of their hotly-anticipated 'The Slow Rush' tour in April. After their NZ date, they'll be wrapping up shows happening in Australia—hitting the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena, Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena, Adelaide Entertainment Centre and Perth's RAC Arena.

Fans are in for a treat as Tame Impala perform songs from their forthcoming studio album 'The Slow Rush' (to be released February 14). Tantalising with shimmering singles like 'Borderline', 'It Might Be Time' and 'Lost in Yesterday', the record is unmistakably the band's masterwork—with a familiar psychedelic sound that is both laid-back and groovy.

Led by multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, Tame Impala have established themselves as one of Australia's most astounding live acts. They have performed prestigious headlining slots at 'Coachella', 'Glastonbury', 'Primavera', and 'Splendour in the Grass' with their world-renowned live experience that is a meditative, light-infused party of psychedelic euphoria.

"Kevin Parker and his sensational band continue to prove that their ever-expanding sound is fit for the biggest of stages." - NME

"The panoramic sound, trippy light shows, and confetti cannons of Tame Impala's live shows are the stuff of stoner legend." - Pitchfork

Since debuting in 2007, Tame Impala have earned a string of accolades to their name, including two Grammy Award nominations, eight ARIA Awards, and a Brit Award amongst countless others. Aside from his acclaimed Tame fame, Kevin has also lent his musical genius to collaborations with Mark Ronson, Lady Gaga, Kanye West and Travis Scott.

Joining Tame on all dates are Texan genre-defiers, Khruangbin. The sunny instrumental three-piece will warm NZ crowd for the first time, bringing songs from their 2019's 'Hasta El Cielo', along with 'Texas Sun'—a recent collaboration with fellow Texan, Leon Bridges.

In further exciting news, Kevin Parker has announced that a donation from Tame Impala's 2020 tour will be made in response to the bushfires currently ravaging Australia:

"I've been hanging out to tour Australia for a long time now so I'm super excited to finally be able to announce. In the past few weeks I've been devastated to see what's been happening with the fires at home and we want to do our bit to help, so we're going to be donating $AUD300,000 to bushfire relief charities."

Snatch up your tickets quick and don't miss Tame Impala's mind-bending performance, live this April!
