Beautifully situated and surrounded by acres of orchard, The Cider Tree Cafe is a classy eatery offering café-style casualness and restaurant-level food. Made from the freshest seasonal produce, Chef Richard Wards has developed a diverse menu with each dish being a perfect accompaniment to your favourite from the Filter Room range.

For Richard, who has long experience in food and wine matching, moving to The Cider Tree has revealed a new food-beverage vista of inspiration, and he’s loving it.

Using local produce and the beers and ciders made just a few metres away from the kitchen door, Richard has developed a sophisticated menu that will come as an eye-opener for those unacquainted with the exciting possibilities through pairing quality food with boutique-brewer beverages.

Everything is made on site, and as well as the beer and cider, there’s a good selection of wines, most from Hawke’s Bay.
