Learn how to create a glowing sculptural lantern of your very own from cane and tissue paper to show and present during the Whangārei Light and Lantern Community Parade on 28 June. All lanterns are lit by LED and supplies are provided.
The Lantern-making workshops are a popular family activity in the lead-up to the parade. Attendees not only get to make a lantern but will have the opportunity to show off during the procession from Bascule Park to Putahi Park during the main event.
All materials provided. Spaces are limited. Anyone under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Suggested koha $10 but nobody turned away for lack of funds.
