Dragons On The Waterfront - Lunar New Year Festival

Upper Frank Kitts Park will come alive with Chinese dragon dancers and other performers with site-specific performances along Wellington's waterfront prior to the Lunar New Year Fireworks Display at 9.30pm.

Performance programme as follows:

8pm to 8.30pm
High energy, excitement and heart-pounding rhythms from drummers of Taikoza Wellington will clear the waterfront of evil spirits and pave the way for good fortune and happiness.

8.30pm to 9.15pm
Site-specific performances by Chinese dragon dancers and other performers starting at Circa Plaza, promenade of Wellington waterfront and finishing at Upper Frank Kitts Park.

If weather is bad, this event will be postponed to Sunday 18 February, 8pm  to 9.15pm
