UK punk band Ruts DC are coming to New Zealand for the first time to play three shows.
The reggae-influenced band will perform in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, playing a selection of their classic Ruts songs as well as some of the more recent material.
Ruts DC started as The Ruts in 1977, releasing two albums to critical acclaim. After the untimely death of singer Malcolm Owen in 1980, the band regrouped as Ruts DC before disbanding a few years later. A reunion in 2007 saw Henry Rollins step in on vocals.
The band reformed in 2011 and consists of John ”Segs” Jennings, David Ruffy and Leigh Heggarty.
Tickets are available now through Under the Radar.
