Midge Marsden & The Rodger Fox Big Band "Are Back in Town and in Concert".

With Special Guests by popular demand, from the USA, Mr Chris Cain.
“One of the best blues men we have today” – Robben Ford

On the landscape of global blues two intrepid journeymen have worn a thirty-year trail between The South Pacific and the United States of America – carrying the essence of the music from the cradle of R’nB across oceans to the antipodes.

Working together and in their own right, trombonist /arranger Rodger Fox and his blues-a-holic sidekick, harpist/singer Midge Marsden, have done a million blue miles. As hunters and collectors of authentic urban blues they have forged a musical and personal friendship that has endured even the most dire forecasts about the death of rhythm and blues. “Are back In Town and In Concert” is great live blues with a big band.

Two blues giants at play with a great band of accomplices. When the bomb goes off and the dust settles Fox and Marsden will still be standing and still blowing (and still howling at the moon). And they will have survived cutting heads with most every other R’n’B pretender South of the Equator. Stand aside… game on …the A Team are back in town and in concert.

Add to the mix - CHRIS CAIN Blues Guitarist / Vocalist: Star of the 2004 and 2005 World Blues Revue.

♪ A childhood blues star Cain’s first album “Late Night City Blues” shook the blues world. This outstanding debut project – financed on a shoestring – garnered no less than 4 “W.C.Handy” nominations and immediate international exposure.

“The W.C.Handy awards is the blues world equivalent of receiving a Grammy nomination”.

♪ Throughout his career he has carefully set the table for a family reunion between those American cousins – blues and jazz. Cain has evolved into a player of such magnitude that Robben Ford – a legendary musician in his own right – regularly uses Chris Cain as his opening act.

♪ Chris has shared musical moments with the best in the business and has trilled an untold number of music lovers.

His latest CD release “Cain does King” is a tribute to the “kings” of the blues - Albert, Freddie and BB. King.

♪ Most of all what defines a musical evening with Chris Cain is one very important word: FUN!

Now its is New Zealand’s turn for the Chris Cain experience.
