Over twenty-five of New Zealand’s top artists, photographers, and sculptors are to contribute works to benefit animals in New Zealand.

National animal advocacy organisation SAFE is excited to announce this year’s charity art auction, which will be hosted by Robyn Malcolm (Outrageous Fortune) and under the direction of auctioneers Hamish Coney and James Parkinson from Art+Object (TV1’s Auction House).

SAFE’s promotion manager Amanda Sorrenson says proceeds from the event will be put towards helping fund SAFE’s LovePigs campaign, which is fighting cruelty against pigs in factory farms in NZ.

Some of the high profile artists donating their work include painters Karl Maughan, John Pule, Jenny Dolezel, Peter Robinson, Yuk King Tan, Judy Darragh and Joanna Braithwaite, and we are also fortunate to have the work of overseas artist and renowned US photographer Anthony Lepore.

Viewing of works begins at 7pm and the auction starts at 7.30 on 9th November at Hopetoun Alpha, Beresford Square.
