In this comedy by Mike Harding the action starts in the Ollerenshawes’ lounge as the family comes home from work, on the Friday evening before the wedding of Deirdre Ollerenshawe and Mark Greenhalgh. We meet the Ollerenshawes one by one - Edith followed by Kevin, eldest son, Deidre only daughter and bride, Harry father of three, Peter youngest son and Nip, Edith’s father.

After dinner, Father Molloy pays a visit and the men make a rushed exit to meet up with the groom Mark for his stag night. A pub crawl ensues and they end up in a night club watching a strip show. They are thrown out for being disruptive and act one ends with the groom stuck in a compromising position.

Act two starts with the events of the wedding day with revelations of the night before being recapped. The women return from the hairdressers, a little shaken from an accident close to home. All get ready for the wedding.

At the church, we meet Mark’s parents, Ron and Muriel Greenhalgh. After a hard night Father Molloy is difficult to understand as he marries the couple.

At the reception, the two families try to put their differences aside for the sake of the bride and groom, but some hidden history is revealed and an uninvited guest turns up. Can Deidre and Mark ever have a happy marriage?
