Was commissioned in 1999 by the Museum of the Royal Armouries in Leeds to mark the new millennium by creating a musical illustration of the futility of warfare in the 20th century and to signal the hope for the end of worldwide warfare as the new century unfolds. Composer Karl Jenkins has written this large scale, fabulous work to illustrate the chaos of warfare and the hope for peace.
