Bansuri (Indian Flute) player Pandit Ronu Majumdar along with Atul Raninga on keyboards / synthesizers, Mukul Dongre on drums / percussion and Basant Madhur on tabla, will be performing a one off concert in NZ.

Together they will present a fusion of Western Jazz and Rock with Indian Classical music.

Ronu is a world-renowned musician with a Grammy nomination for the soundtrack of the movie, ‘Primary Colours’. He has been associated with such greats as Pandit Ravi Shankar, touring with him and appearing on his project ‘Chants of India’ as well as recording with Western music international stars such as Ry Cooder with Larry Coryell and Jon Hassell.

Ronu is being brought to New Zealand by ‘Worldbeatz Promotions - an association of local Indian musicians Basant Madhur, Hemant Thaker and local Festival director/ musician David Parker.
