Fevered and freaked underground blues phenomenon Storehouse, lead by UK singer/guitarist Tom Rodwell, plays one final semi-secret NZ show for summer 2008, all night long, with Rodwell heading off for more US and European shows for the remainder of the year.

Purveyors of stark, primitive and uncannily funky blues and spirituals, Storehouse also feature bassist Joe Pineapple, harmonica monster Shadow, plus NZ jazz luminaries John Bell (on tuba) and Chris O'Connor on percussion.

Catch them now or miss out . . .

Time Out: "Edgy, funky and visceral."

Blues in London: "Seemingly without trying Tom Rodwell manages to eschew the cliches that beset a lot of blues music. By turns wild, angry, hypnotic and sensual, it's as uncompromising as it is funky and some of the best live music I've seen in a long time."

Blues in Britain: "Psychotic gospel music."

Sheffield Telegraph: "Punishing."

Michael Pickett (Juno Award winner): "Real groove, no pretension, zero bullsh*t, that is rare it seems."

BBC World Service, The Beat: "Been a while since anyone's heard a song quite like that."

Some dude: "I thought it was gonna be slash your wrists sh*t, but you made me feel I was driving a Cadillac, man."
