The annual Awhitu Fire Force fun run/walk takes you over rural farmland and along remote beaches that the public rarely get access to.

You can run or walk for five kilometres or 10 kilometres. There are no age restrictions, families are most welcome and there's spectacular views of the Manukau Harbour all the way. The event meanders around the top of the Awhitu Peninsula across farmland and along golden sandy beaches. Just over an hours drive from the CBD, come and experience this largely undiscovered part of Auckland.

Registration is at 9.00am at Grahams Beach Reserve - a 25 minute drive north from Waiuku along the Peninsula's ridge, past west coast beaches and through valleys of pohutukawas.

The event is raising money for the Awhitu Fire Force - a dedicated and talented team of volunteers trained to fight fires as well as provide medical assistance which is an invaluable resource in a rural community.
