Come to Levin and enjoy a fun and eventful display of hot air ballooning.

Various events and happening over the whole of the Easter weekend. This will be kicked off on the Thursday evening with various balloons flying in the late afternoon, followed by a "Mass Ascension" from the New World and mall carparks starting at 6.30am weather permitting.

This will be followed by various flights in the afternoon from sites around Levin depending on wind directions.

On Saturday morning there will an attempt to to "Tag the Blimp" at the Lake Horowhenua. The blimp is a Helium filled weather balloon tethered on a 50m rope. Attached to the blimp will be coloured small balloons for the pilots to grab, these will carry points.

On Saturday night will be the massive NIGHT GLOW of an estimated 20 + balloons lighting up the night sky to music. There will also be other static displays of cars, motorbikes, gliders, helicopter rides, plus a lot more.

There shall be stalls selling handcrafts and food on the evening.

The gates will open to the Levin showgrounds at 3.30pm and the show will be concluded by 8.00pm.

On the Sunday morning at 6.30am the balloonists will be trying to "Grab the Key" from a 5m pole at Donnelly park, again the launching of the balloons will depend on wind direction.

On Monday morning again at 6.30am the balloonist will be trying to land their balloons as close to a marker at Donnelly Park.

From the very full program there will definitely be something for young and old to enjoy.
