The Children’s Cheering Carpet Series is a trilogy of sensory theatrical installations aimed at children, which combine digital animation and sound.

In the Japanese Garden audiences are welcomed with a short story about the birth of this garden and are then immersed in the tranquil setting of an oriental oasis. Dancers chase darting blue and red fish and float on giant lily pads.

The fantastic colours and curious shapes of a virtual painted Morroccan landscape are brought to life in the Kurdish Garden. Using images created by the Kurdish artist Rebwar Saeed, two dancers lead you on a high-tech, touch-sensitive magic carpet ride, complete with colour themes and simple images, perfect for the youngsters.

Awarded the Ade Art Digital Era prize in 2004, the Italian Garden recreates the vivid visions of a virtual renaissance landscape as TPO's high-tech, touch-sensitive carpet triggers courtly dances, magical cupids and the sounds in the sun-filled gardens. Watch the dancers move through a labyrinth of hidden worlds and listen to their whispered songs as they merge spellbinding sounds, images and movement.

This delightful interactive experience will keep the whole family entranced.
