"Everything was right:...the fervency, delight and wildness with which the music was had that rare and thrilling sense that the music, although obviously meticulously rehearsed, was being discovered, explored, caressed and exalted as though it were all brand-new." - The Washington Post on Steven Isserlis

Every symphony orchestra has its cello section, but rarely do you get the chance to hear the unique sounds and tonal combinations that a group of cellos can produce. For this special event Isserlis has fashioned an eclectic programme ranging from Brett Dean's 12 Angry Men, inspired by the movie of the same name in which 12 jurors try to reach a verdict in a murder trial, through to the South American zing of Villa-Lobos' Bachianas Brasileiras, featuring one of Australasia's most popular sopranos, Sara Macliver.
