Cantores present Harvard scholar Robert Levin's new version and completion of the Mozart Requiem premiering to southern listeners.

This version features revisions to grammatical errors in Sussmayr's work and a new ending. A fugal Amen at the end of the lacrymosa is a highlight.

Players from the Southern Sinfonia, Otago university music department and students along with Cantores, friends and singers from several Dunedin choirs will combine for a massed choir and orchestra.

Soloists include ODT aria winner Iain Fraser, fourth year voice student Kathryn Garnder, tenor Dominique Peyroux and his brother, counter-tenor Damian Peyroux.

The Requiem has a fine setting in the stunnningly beautiful setting and warm acoustic of the historic Dunedin Basilica.

Tickets may be purchased from the Dolls House and Dance Shop, George St Dunedin.
