With over $30,000 in prizes, the Huntly Retravision Half Marathon caters for all runners and walkers.

Hamilton City Hawks takes pride in presenting an event that caters to all runners, from the first timer to the experienced athlete.

A carnival atmosphere prevails at the finish area in the Lake Hakanoa Domain with food and drink stalls.

All events start in Wight St adjacent to race HQ lake Hakanoa Domain and finish with a 4km lap of the Lake Hakanoa Walkway.

This walkway is compacted fine gravel and provides an excellent running surface.

Solid Energy New Zealand Ltd 10km Fun Run and Walk: an ideal event for supporters. All participants are included in the spot prize draw.

Prizegiving: 1.30pm at the conclusion of the race.

Official time keeping ends 3 hours and 30 minutes after race start.

Walkers taking part in the Huntly RetraVision Half Marathon Walk (start 10:00am) MUST walk the entire event.

Entrants intending to Walk/Run must enter the Half Marathon Run. We rely on entrants integrity in this, please. No merit prizes will be awarded for the walk but results are recorded and certificates will be posted to all finishers.

All walkers are eligible for spot prizes and two major spot prizes must be won by entrants in the walk events.

Mizuno Sports Shoes Expo: Smiths Sports Shoes will provide a comprehensive display of Mizuno running shoes. Mizuno shoe prize vouchers can be redeemed at the stand and purchases can be made on the day.

Major Spot Prizes: All finishers present at the prizegiving are eligible for a spot prize, including the major prizes. Major spot prizes are drawn from race numbers returned at the finish.

Minor Spot Prizes: Randomly selected finishers will be handed out lucky place spot prize tickets in the finish chute during the event. These must be collected from the spot prize area on stage.

Race Results and Certificates: To those who indicated on the entry form, results and certificates will be posted within two weeks of the race. Time clocks will be situated at the finish. Race results will be posted to the website shortly after the event.

Traffic Control: Signs, notices and marshals will warn traffic of runners on all the roads involved. Please be aware of the traffic and be courteous. Roads will not be closed to traffic. Move over if cars are passing. Obey traffic rules at all time. Follow the instructions of race officials, marshals, and NZ Police.

Race Numbers: Entry confirmation details and race numbers will be posted to all entrants in the week before the race to the address you enter on the entry form. These are to be pinned on the front of your singlet. Each race number contains a timing transponder. DO NOT FOLD. Please return all numbers, with attached transponders, after the event.

T-Shirts: Souvenir t-shirts can be ordered with your entry. These will be distributed on race day. A limited number of t-shirts will be sold on race day, so be in early.

Late Entries: Entries close on 8 May. Late entries will be taken up until 30 minutes before race time on payment of a late fee.

Drink Stations: Drink stations will be situated at the 5km 10km, 14km, 18km and finish. Water will be available at each drink stop.

Finish Photographs: Global-Pix will be taking photos of all finishers at the finish line. These photos will be available for viewing on the Marathon-Photos.com website two days after the event.

Parking: Parking will be available at the Huntly Primary School in Onslow Street for a gold coin donation.

Baggage: A secure baggage area will be available adjacent to the finish area.
