Taihape Gumboot Day
Where: Various, Taihape
Taihape is known for its annual Gumboot Day and this year it will take place on Saturday 25th October 2008.
The event has taken place since 1985 and has attracted visitors from throughout New Zealand and overseas.
The major event of the day will be the Gumboot Throwing Competition. Other activities will include markets, music, gumboot marches, games and Fred Dag lookalikes.
