Captain snappy returns to the Hauraki Gulf next month to play a live rock show.
BFM listeners will remember Captain Snappy’s live fishing reports on Saturday Mornings’ Nice and Urlich show a few years back.
Live from the good ship Ngahi based at the Weiti yacht club The Captain Snappy fishing report was a popular show for those wanting to get the lowdown on where the fish were biting.
Whangaparaoa will once again rock to the solid beats and driving rhythms of the base and drum combination of Raman and Helen Lee, the mother and son combination who last performed together as the engine room of The Coroblues Band which was hugely popular throughout Whangaparaoa and North Auckland in the late 90s.
The old Whangaparaoa Hotel lounge bar was often packed with rocking fans of the Coroblues formally from Coromandel.
