WHY ARE WE DOING IT?

The New Zealand Sport and Activity Survey 1997-2001 found that, Aucklanders activity levels are declining and that they are lower than the National average across all groups. Only 34% of Auckland adults complete 30 minutes of exercise five times per week.

One in five adults have been told by a doctor that they have high blood pressure.

One in six adults have been told that they have high cholesterol.

Over 50% of adults in New Zealand have gained over 10kg since they were 18!
