A rare opportunity to sail the Northland coast on board the iconic tall ship the R.Tucker Thompson! On our Eco-Sail voyage, you will not only get the chance to actually visit normally inaccessible, remote locations but also play your own part in a keeping this environment pristine and special through support of Project Island Song.

Onshore guided walks will take you to hidden Kauri trees, deep in the native bush; then, in a reflection of more modern times a visit to a 19th century whaling station with its grim past and a tour inside the iconic Cape Brett Lighthouse, recently restored by DOC.

To reach these remote locations, you'll have the opportunity to sail a tall ship – a graceful reminder of times past when man's impact on the environment was only minimal.

The three days, two nights voyage includes:
- Three meals plus morning and afternoon tea
- Trees for planting on selected Bay of Islands location
- Certificate of planting (including GPS co-ordinates of planting)
- Project Island Song tee-shirt
- Donation to Project Island Song's replanting and regeneration costs
- Guided walk to Whangamumu's old Whaling station
