Don’t forget to get your tickets today for the 15th annual Christchurch 50’s Up Brass Band variety concert being held on 22 July at the Christchurch Town Hall starting at 2pm.
The afternoon concert is a fund raiser for Arthritis New Zealand. Along with the band it will also feature the well loved entertainers the Topp Twins and two talented young musicians Bradley Wood and Cameron Luxton and well known television personality Rob Cope-Williams will be the celebrity compare.

Concert manager John Nimmo said it was is a very popular event for seniors and the music program is also designed to appeal to younger people as well.
“It’s traditionally been aimed at seniors and we have a very loyal audience. This year with the Topps Twins at the show we hope to attract a younger audience who enjoy daytime entertainment full of music and comedy. Anyone who loves a sing along, country and western, and the classic kiwi characters, played by the Topp Twins will enjoy this two hour long variety concert.”
The 50s Up Brass Band’ has been playing music for many years and enjoys providing entertainment for many retirement homes and senior citizens clubs, as well as staging their annual variety concert. Its talented musical director has arranged the song medleys and other special music arrangements for the show.
