Neo avant-garde Russian collective Factory of Found Clothing (FNO), are known for intriguing work born from a highly ideological practice (Their manifesto states “The place of the artist is on the side of the weak. Weakness makes a person human, and it is by overcoming weakness that heroes are born”). Dedicated to social transformation through art, FNO’s work involves collaborative performance and installation projects with public groups. Their time in New Zealand involves a residency at Unitec as well as symposia projects with young artists. FNO will create and present a new Doesteyevsky-inspired work, The Idiot, as well as showing their video installation Three Mothers and a Chorus, curated by Marcus Williams, a radical hybrid of operatic and documentary idioms examining contemporary motherhood.

Exhibition runs from Saturday 7 March - Saturday 18 April
Tuesday - Friday 10am - 6pm
Saturday - 11am - 4pm

Preview - Friday 6 March 8pm - 9.30pm
