Victoria University of Wellington invites you to a two part public lecture on globalisation to be presented by Associate Professor Warwick Murray from the School of Geography, Environment and Earth Sciences and Associate Professor Val Lindsay from the School of Marketing and International Business.

Warwick Murray argues that the world faces not one but three global crises: social, economic and environmental. Solving any of these requires that we address the others simultaneously.

Warwick, the ‘singing lecturer’, won a National Teaching Award in 2006 and specialises in globalisation and development.

Val Lindsay will provide an overview of the recent economic growth of India and China, which continues even in light of the current global economic crisis, and will discuss what this means for New Zealand businesses.

Val is currently leading a major research project on the internationalisation of services into Asia, funded by the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology.
