New Zealand author David Hill's workshop and exercises will explore Topics, Techniques, and Targets for prose writing, especially fiction, with an emphasis on prose for younger readers and what makes a successful children’s writer. David will discuss what is pertinent to this genre, including narrative and plot development; how to address the reading level and topical-interest of younger audiences; and how to incorporate learning outcomes. Hill has published over 30 books for young readers and has a weekly column in The Listener.
