Starting early to ensure you get your fix of quality tunes before you snuggle up to bed on a Thursday eve Auckland indie band, Artisan Guns, fresh from being signed to major label EMI, are bringing their national EP release tour and indie rock stylings to the home of Indie in Wellington - The Mighty Mighty.

Artisan Guns are joined by the both stylish idealistic musical compositions of Wellington's own Stevie Starr.

Artisan Guns -
Artisan Guns are a swarm of angry wasps, born from the ashes of a dead phoenix. Like a black hole, transporting you to another dimension. A link from the past, propelled into the future. An entire civilization captured in the pages of a book. Endless fields with countless foes. A question with an answer left untold. Penguins and fluffy lambs. Granted this doesn’t tell you what you can expect from this young Auckland band, but if anything it shows they are smart and creative which more than transcends to there music with a beautiful maturity much beyond their years.

The Stevie Starr -
Stevie Starr's debut album 'We Hope in All Things New' is attracting the attention of Rip It Up magazine and the New Zealand Herald, labeling him 'an act to watch out for in 2009'.
‘Blending classical compositions with sweeping pop movements, Wellington's Stevie Starr could well be one of the brightest new things on the New Zealand music scene. Influenced by Radiohead and Arvo Pärt, his inspired compositions are heartfelt, uplifting and really rather remarkable. Look out for his debut album, release June 15.’ - The Herald

“(Starr) juxtaposes straight vocal guitar pop with subversive lyrical themes. With moody electronic tinged compositions marinated in a propensity for emotive classical style arrangements; his debut is an enjoyable listening experience to say the least” quotes Rip It Up.

Stevie is now being distributed by Border Music. Border have over 15 years experience in the music industry.
