Introducing songwriters Kiri Eriwata, Nikki Ngatai and Ian Simpson

Kiri has been compared to artists such as Fiona Apple, Tori Amos and Kate Bush but with a homegrown New Zealand attitude thrown in. Expect some new songs at Roasted and joining Kiri are two talented friends from Waiheke.

Nikki Ngatai’s music flows beautifully from such a strong yet honey-like voice, it’s hard not to get carried away in her well thought out lyrics and weaving melodies. As soon as you listening to her first track on her myspace page, you can’t wait to hear what other gems Nikki has produced.

Singer/songwriter Ian Simpson performs regularly around Auckland and won the Diablo Singer/Songwriter 2007 competition with a performance described by James Spindler (competition judge and main sponsor) as “world class...". His influences range from Pearl Jam, Tom Waits to Jeff Buckley delivering powerful vocals in his customary passionate performances.
