Attendees to Recreation Expo will have the chance to win thousands of $$$ worth of prizes. Plus they will have the opportunity to meet Freediving World Record Holder, Dave Mullins; test their heart rate against Silver Fern, Maree Bowden; challenge the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Crew in a Speed Climbing Competition and talk with industry experts.

This event will have something for every taste, budget and fitness level. The focus will be on active lifestyles, outdoor pursuits and having fun. You will have the opportunity to buy the latest ‘must have’ equipment at awesome prices from a wide range of stand-holders. The technical stuff will be explained in entertaining seminars and on-stand demonstrations plus there will be over 400sqm of tents on display.

Every visitor will have the opportunity to go into the draw to win in the More FM Ultimate Recreation Prize Draw –with products totalling over $5,000 in value.

It all kicks off on Friday 25 September at 5pm with a Speed Climbing Competition on the 8m high rock wall – teams of 4 are invited to take on the challenge and help Recreation Expo raise money for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. Supporters are also welcome as the Café & Bar area, located beside the rock wall, will be open until 8pm - so gather your workmates and help us to raise much needed funds. All proceeds from the Speed Climbing Competition and 10% of the Café & Bar takings from Friday evening will be donated.

The excitement continues on Saturday and Sunday with exhibitors keen to show , inform and ensure that you are able to pick up some excellent show specials.

This event will definitely get you in the mood for a summer of outdoor adventure.
