Remarkable Vocals ensemble presents a selection of music from choral classics to popular standards.

7.30pm, Friday 30 April 2010

Enjoy the fine harmonies of early works by Byrd and Josquin des Pres. Highlights of the concert include Three Hungarian Folk Songs by Maryas Seiber and the glorious Rachmaninov Ave Maria. Contemporary hits Yesterday by Lennon and McCartney and I Got Rhythm by George Gershwin complete a varied choral programme.

Guess performers Sharon McLennon, (piano) and Maria Affleck (violin) from Alexandra perform two pieces by the Argentinian composer, Astor Pianzzolla. Also providing musical interludes will be Mark Wilson (piano) and Alison Frude (flute), playing jazz standards and The Calm of Autumn, an original piece written by Mark.
