This kick-ass party has already torn up dancefloors in the UK, Canada, Italy and Oz, and now its time to rip into NZ!

If you didnt know already, its the party steez of the funk/breakbeat label Goodgroove, one of the top selling independent record labels in the world.

Each event hosts one or more Goodgroove artist, as well as the cream of the local crop. We're lucky little bastards this time, we get not one, not two, but THREE (yes, you read that right) Goodgroove djs/producers!!

Slynk (Aus)
J-Roc (Canada)
Paul Master (Regrooved Aust)

Plus a bevvy of local djs.....Sambro, Randomplay, Snowy, Cool Hand Luke, Adam O..... Plus microphone control from: Mikey Rockwell

This is going to be a heaving, bass heavy night of funk based hiphop, breakbeat, drumnbass, dubstep, nufunk, and of course, some sweet turntable trickery.

$20 on the door, or an easy $15 presale from Conch, 115a Ponsonby Road.

J-ROC, one half of Sould Out Dj's in Canada, has been blowin' up lately with a Japan tour under his belt, Australia, Canada and soon to come, New Zealand and UK tour!

His vinyl release of "Funkanomical Boom" hit the store shelves January 2010 and is already getting looks and plays from top breaks DJs and producers around the globe. In the new year you can expect a few more releases on Good Groove Records as well as a remix for DJ Loves new album coming out on Ali B's label AIR Recordings UK. J-Roc's Free Release EP which included "Drop A Monkey On It" "Protest" and "It's Your Thang (Big Beatin Beastie Edit)" has been featured on Kiss FM in the UK and almost every other breaks DJs mix tape.

On any given night with J-Roc on the decks your bound to hear tunes from almost every genre. From breaks to house, funk, to dubstep, glitchhop, and hip hop, and along with the cuttin and scratchin, J-Roc is guaranteed to keep it hype!

SLYNK (real name Evan Chandler) has musical roots that run deep. Before he’d left school he was addicted to music and teaching himself how to produce funky jams in his bedroom. In 2004 he was given his first pair of decks as a gift, which spurred a strong addiction to vinyl.

He scored his first residency in his hometown Brisbane, Australia in 2006, DJing every Friday night at a New York style café underground. This is where he stayed for close to 2 years experimenting and refining his skills. It wasn’t until April 2008 when he was discovered by some local DJ agencies, that he began shaking rumps at Brisbane’s top funky joints.

In just 12 months he went from bedroom DJ to one of Australia’s top funky breaks DJs and producers, playing interstate regularly and overseas with full support and love from some of the world’s most respected funky breaks vinyl slingers including: A Skillz, Fort Knox Five, Freddy Fresh Worldwide and Craig Charles. Slynk has supported many huge acts including: Ugly Duckling, Amp Fiddler, Lyrics Born, Roots Manuva, Killaqueenz, Nick Thayer, Fdel, The Nextmen, Rennie Pilgrim, Rouge Element, Rephrase, Jon Ohms and so many more.

Last year Slynk released his first 3 vinyls on well respected funky breaks labels Goodgroove and Manmade, all of which featured in Juno Record’s Best of Breakbeat 2009 list hitting number 1, 12 & 30. With many more releases planned for 2010, it’s sure to be another big year for Slynk.
