Roger Hall will be in Hastings Library to deliver a public talk about the development of his career.

Hall will talk candidly about the often difficult process of becoming one of New Zealand’s most successful playwrights. This is a unique opportunity to hear the inside story of one of New Zealand’s big names.

Mr Hall set up the Roger Hall Theatre Trust to benefit theatre in New Zealand, and proceeds from the event will be split between the trust and Mr Halls other charity, UNICEF.

In a career spanning more than 30 years Hall has written for stage, screen and radio, touring widely and performing at international venues. His work, which cleverly interweaves humour and social commentary, has seen him winning numerous awards and scholarships.

Seats are strictly limited. Copies of Hall’s books will also be on sale.
