Alizarin Lizard 'Can I Please Hold the Balloon Now' South Island Tour. With support from The Something Quartet and Porpoise.

“Alizarin Lizard are a filthy, psychedelic out of it band made up of several out of it people doing weird shit that sounds like a ‘Floyd-Crimson-pop’ experience with buzzy jazz notes.” Junior Cathro

Alizarin Lizard features members of Tono & the Finance Co. & The Biff Merchants. Lead singer/songwriter Paul Cathro likes to wear tight pants to show off his package.

Check them out:

The Something Quartet is the project of the multi-talented Chris ‘Bugs’ Miller. (The Verlaines, Tono) He’s not only gifted – he’s a sexy bloke with a beard. The Something Quartet also features fantastic drum work performed by the brilliantly named Samdrub Dawa. Also this time featuring Theo Francis on guitar, Paul Cathro on bASS and Benjamin Sargeant on more drums.

When asked to describe his sound Bugs simply replied “like the inside of my head”.!/pages/The-Something-Quartet/212587285245?ref=ts

The Porpoise has been in hibernation forever. He has recently woken up and discovered the power of the Casiotone CT-360, the left handed distorted bass & the authority of ‘Doof Crack’. A one man band that features the guitarist from psychedelic/alt/roots trio Left Or Right.

All 3 acts have combined their powers & the team is off on a South Island journey of interesting times. All members will pile into the Tranny wagon and go for a mad hoon up the coast.
