These holidays don't miss the Film Archive kids screening programme Mini Sized Square Eyes.

Each school holidays the Archive screens a different selection of short films from its extensive collections. Many of the films are rarely screened and unavailable on DVD.

Both programmes include early black and white American animation, some Kiwi classics and contemporary New Zealand material. Programme One runs 7 and 9 April, Programme 2 runs on 12, 14 and 16 April. Highlights include Ub Lwerk’s 1936 Mary’s Little Lamb, the original film version of Where the Wild Things Are and Fred O’Neill's 1964 animated plasticine short Plastiphobia.

Screenings designed for kids aged 4-12 year olds. Prams and buggies welcome.
