Ladies and gentlemen, please prepare yourselves for the welcome return of Wilco to our shores in 2010.

The announcement comes a mere 10 months since their last visit when they recorded with Neil Finn and some of the world’s best musicians for the 7 Worlds’ Collide project and inspired by the landscape and warm weather stayed on to record the “meat and bones” of their U.S. Billboard Top 5 album “Wilco (the album)”!

Heralded by critics everywhere as “the world’s most exciting rock band”, their live set clocks in at over 2 hours and is a spell-binding journey through their rich and inspiring catalogue of tunes. With seven studio albums to their credit Wilco will present a selection from their familiar past, as well as songs from this years outstanding self- titled release “Wilco (the album)”.

This album is the follow-up to 2007’s Grammy nominated “Sky Blue Sky”, which was the first Wilco recording with the band’s current line-up: Jeff Tweedy (guitar and vocals); John Stirratt (bass); Nels Cline (guitar); Glenn Kotche (drums); Pat Sansone (multiple instruments); and Mikael Jorgenson (keyboards).

Alongside the new album release Wilco have had a busy year touring America and the UK, releasing a documentary style concert DVD ‘Ashes of American Flags’ and readying their full back catalogue to be made available on vinyl LP for the first time ever.

A show not to be missed, Wilco are a band who have continued to grow artistically, continued to make great records, and continue to deliver live shows that are a unique and rewarding experience.

A mere six months after his highly praised shows, Justin Townes Earle returns to New Zealand to beguile us again with his storyteller charm, stage swagger and stellar songs. This time Justin travels further south to share his brand of Americana with Christchurch in his own headline show before alighting the Wilco tour bus for shows in Auckland and Wellington.

The bar has always been set pretty high with Justin Townes-Earle’s namesakes (songwriting legends father Steve Earle & Townes Van Zandt), but not a standard this man has shied away from. Justin Townes Earle two critically revered albums (The Good Life - 2008, Midnight At The Movies - 2009) and garnering reviews that would make most musicians weep.

Wilco and Justin Townes-Earle - A superb night of Americana that could just make a grown man cry.
