Feel the pulse of the engines as the V8’s thrum their way along the main street of Paeroa at 11am parading their magnificence for all to see.

After enjoying the thrill of the procession of some 300 vehicles, you can follow them up to the Paeroa Racecourse, pay a $2 entry fee at the gate and peruse the cars and motorcycles while they are parked up under the canopy of majestic trees.

Once there you can enjoy a sausage or bacon sandwich from the BBQ, a drink from the bar, see a V8 chainsaw in action and browse through the goods on sale at the swap meet, all while listening to the sounds of live music.

Children can take a ride in the monster truck while Dad competes in the spark plug competition.

There are plenty of enthusiasts there who love to chat about their ‘beauties’ and share ideas and of course, if you are looking to purchase or sell, it’s always a great place to showcase a vehicle.

Run by the Paeroa Rotary Club, the V8 Show Day this year includes motorcycles for the first time. It is always held the day before the “Battle of the Streets” motorbike races which are a huge drawcard and lots of fun, so why not make a weekend of it in Paeroa!
