Sanford and the Rotary Club of Auckland East are pleased to confirm the dates of the fourth annual Auckland Seafood Festival to be held at Halsey Street Wharf on Auckland Anniversary Weekend from Saturday 30th January to Monday 1st February 2010.

Tickets will be available from 1 November.

The Auckland Seafood Festival offers visitors a chance to enjoy the delicacies caught in the waters around Auckland in a carnival atmosphere. More than 17,000 Aucklanders and out of town visitors attended the 2009 event soaking up the sun and enjoying a great selection of local seafood, wine and beer, with live entertainment for young and old. The event is a core part of Auckland Anniversary Weekend celebrations that also include the annual Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta, concerts and fireworks.

Sanford and Rotary Club of Auckland East are also pleased to confirm that event founding sponsors Auckland City Council and Heart of the City, along with radio partner The Radio Network, have again committed their support for the event. The event will be managed by the Auckland City Council Events team with support from Creative Bank (Advertising) and Trendmill Communications (Sponsorship & Public Relations). The entertainment programme, which will be announced later this year, will again profile local artists from varied genres as well as activities such as the popular slippery pole competition, Blessing of the Fleet, and much more.

Auckland Seafood Festival - Saturday 30th January - Monday 1st February, noon to 7pm daily.

Surplus funds from the event will be donated to Rotary with the principal beneficiary being The Stellar Trust for their ‘Rise Above P’ (Methamphetamine) campaign.
