Recently formed band The Bellbirds consists of long-haul NZ musicians Sandy Mill, Sean Donnelly (SJD), Don McGlashan and Victoria Kelly.
Their songs are honest and direct, melodies and harmonies of a 60s baroque pop sensibility combined with bittersweet lyrics; the birds and bees are miserable but achingly beautiful. Their live performances have been described as "a religious experience".
You may have heard them recently on Radio NZ's Music 101 sessions or seen them on TVNZ's Talk Talk or Maori TV's Songs Of Hope.
They will play with The Sami Sisters - gorgeous and entertaining with songs to die for.
