The Rodger Fox Big Band of New Zealand are back, the last Monday of each month at the Masonic Tavern in Devonport.

Rodger Fox is known as New Zealand's top jazz trombonist, bandleader and talented arranger. Through this work as the leader of the Rodger Fox Big Band he has performed at the Montreaux, Monterey and Wichita Jazz Festivals in the USA along with 2 performances at the International Association of Jazz Educator Convention in Chicago and Los Angeles.

The Rodger Fox Big Band has performed in concert with many of the worlds great jazz artists such as Michael Brecker, Steve Smith, Randy Crawford, Kevin Mahogany, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Louie Bellson, Arturo Sandoval, Diane Schuur, Bill Cunliffe, Bob Sheppard, Bobby Shew, Joe Williams, Lanny Morgan, Don Rader, Bruce Paulson, John Fedchock, Bill Reichenbach, Buddy De Franco, Chuck Findley, Dave Weckl, Bruce Paulson, John Scofield, Tom Harrell and Gregg Bissonette to name but a few.

Rodger Fox has also organised tours and events: by such name artists as Randy Crawford, The Maynard Ferguson Big Band, Toots & the Maytels, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Kevin Mahogany, Charlie Musselwhite and the World Blues Revue, Robben Ford and the Blueline, Tuck & Patti, Screamin' Jay Hawkin's, David Clayton-Thomas and The Sounds of the Supremes
