The Orchestra of Indigenous Instruments and New Technologies in concert.

All members of the ensemble are former students of the conductor/director, composer Alejandro Iglesias Rossi. As a pre-requisite to joining the group all the musicians have to have researched and built the musical instruments they play based on authentic models - many originals of these indigenous South American instruments have fallen into disuse, or have been recovered from archaeological sites.

Besides repertoire of traditional folk music, new compositions have been created to explore the strange new sound worlds that these instruments are capable of evoking. Ritual theatre, masks and dance are integral to the performances.

"... A total art for the body and the spirit, between the memory and the creation…" Radio France Culture, Paris “The concert was incredible, a burning and percussive tide, a dynamic use of the stage that leave you out of breath. Everyone’s heart capsized. Le Temps, Tunisia
